Why We Need a Femanual

Because half the world has a vagina — and almost no one’s taught how it works.

Let’s be honest. Most of us didn’t get a proper sex ed. We got a bowl of condoms, a stack of vaguely outdated pamphlets, and the unforgettable trauma of watching a banana get violated in the name of “health class.”

Why did they leave this all out?

Nobody told us what discharge is, or why it changes. Nobody explained that pain during sex isn’t normal. Nobody gave us a heads-up that periods aren’t supposed to wipe you out, or that your birth control might tank your libido, or that it’s okay to ask your doctor to slow down.

And if you’re reading this thinking, “Oh, I actually did learn some of that,” that’s great — but chances are, that information was incomplete, or wrapped in shame, judgment, and a side of “If you have sex, you’ll die.” (Mean Girls, anyone?)

Femanual was Built to be the Thing We Wish We Had

Not a pamphlet.

Not a patronizing quiz.

Not a lecture about “hygiene” or “femininity” from someone who also coaches the varsity boys’ lacrosse team.

Just the facts, in plain language.

Plus a little humor.

Plus a little rage.

Plus the validation that you’re not the only one who’s ever whispered “uh… is this normal?” into the abyss of your search history.

We believe:

- Your vulva deserves to be understood — not censored.

- Your body is not a mystery. It’s just been mystified on purpose.

- You deserve answers that don’t start with “just drink more water.”

And most of all?

That education is power. Especially when it comes without judgment.

We’re here to make you feel better about your body

And we’re doing that by helping you understand it — so you can own it, ask for what you need, and build the kind of relationship with it that feels like a partnership, not a guessing game.

We want this to be the place you go when you’re scared, curious, frustrated, bleeding, bumping, burning, bloated, or just really tired of being told your pain is “normal.”

We want this to be your user guide.

Your cheat sheet.

Your manual.

It’s your body.

Time you had a manual.
